Helping young people achieve their potential
"When you were growing up, who were your heroes? Chances are they were sportsmen or women, actors or musicians. You probably had posters of them on your walls, watched their every event or film, or bought all of their records. Young people need role models to look up to and provide inspiration.
The problem these days is that to reach the peak of your profession in sport, the creative or performing arts, you also need to have lots of funding as well as lots of talent. Not everybody has financial support, so this is where charities can assist youngsters from all backgrounds fulfil their dreams."
The Travers Foundation is a volunteer run Charity that helps 13 to 30 year-olds improve their skills in sports, the creative arts and the performing arts. We help local teams, groups and individuals in Rutland, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire to achieve their potential.

We all acquire our basic skills at our school, club or local association. They provide an excellent foundation for our sport and artistic grounding. However, as our ability improves and ambition grows we often need additional qualified coaching, mentoring or teaching to help improve our skills and performance and this is where we can help.
We provide our funding and financial support to local 13 to 30 year olds to help them improve their proficiency in sport, music and the arts. You may make a donation, however small, using our "Just Giving" service. If you are a UK tax payer you can "Gift Aid" your donation and we get an additional 25p for each £1 you donate. For more information see the HMRC Gift Aid page.
