Trustee of The Travers Foundation and Team GB 110 Hurdler, William Sharman, has bounced back from a frustrating 18 months of injury with a stupendous month culminating in a personal best and a trip to the World Championships in Moscow in August 2013.
William first came to national prominence in 2009, after he finished fourth in the sprint hurdles final at the 2009 World Championships. At that time he was rated only 100+ in the world! He followed that in stunning style winning the British Championships in 2010.
Sadly, 2011 and 2012 were disappoint years for William suffering injury and failing to qualify for the London 2012 Olympics.
William focused on his recuperation and rehabilitation and emerged from last winter with leading times making his UK No 1 again. He confirm this form when he won the 2013 British Championships in July. He followed this with a personal best at The Olympic Stadium Anniversary Games running a time of 13.26 seconds making him the fourth fastest British 110m hurdler of all time.
