FUNDED BY THE TRAVERS FOUNDATION AND CORBY CORE THEATRE
Bodyrox Dance Company has teamed up with The Core at Corby Cube and has received funding from local charity The Travers Foundation for its Bodyrox Dance Crew's Urban Project this month (January).
The Travers Foundation is a volunteer run charity which helps 13 to 30 year olds living in Northamptonshire, Rutland or Leicestershire improve their skills in sports, the creative arts and the performing arts.
The Urban Project is a programme working with selected dancers who are excelling in urban dance forms at Bodyrox, providing them with access to workshops, master classes and dance exhibitions at the UK's biggest dance event Move It 2017, plus a visit to a London Theatre.
Bodyrox Dance Crew has also made it through to N Dance 2017 and will be performing with other dance schools showcasing their talent in Northamptonshire.
Terry Forsey, Chairman of The Travers Foundation, said:
"We at the Travers Foundation are delighted to be able to offer funding assistance to Bodyrox for their Urban Project.
"The urban dancers will also be performing at our Showcase Event, taking place at the Corby Cube on Saturday 4th March. We very much look forward to seeing them show us their dance moves and we can perhaps pick up a few hints on how to dab etc!"
