NEW CORE DANCER PROGRAMME
The Core Dancers supported again in 2016 by The Travers Foundation The Core at Corby Cube, in partnership with The Travers Foundation, is running an enhanced Core Dancer Programme for young people from Corby and Northamptonshire.
This scheme allows youngsters aged between 14 and 21 to access over 200 creative and physical dance classes with inspirational leaders.
They are developing skills in street dance, hip hop and other contemporary styles, and have the opportunity to perform in showcase events, full productions with nationally-regarded choreographers, and achieve Arts Award qualifications.
Northamptonshire-based charity The Travers Foundation helps 13 to 30 year olds living in Northamptonshire, Rutland or Leicestershire improve their skills in sports, the creative arts and the performing arts.
Terry Forsey of The Travers Foundation said:
"We are delighted to be able to offer financial assistance to support the great work of The Core at Corby Cube. This is the principal arts venue in a rapidly expanding town, and the quality of their work is outstanding."
