The Travers Foundation has been shortlisted for the Lloyds Bank Community Fund 2013 in East Northamptonshire.
By encouraging the public to vote, The Travers Foundation has a chance to be awarded a £3,000 grant from Lloyds Bank to enable it to continue doing good work in the community.
The Travers Foundation is a local Not-For-Profit organisation who help 18-30 year-olds improve their skills in sport, the creative arts and the performing arts. The fund will be used to pay for independent coaching and professional support for local sports teams and groups in the creative arts and the performing arts in Corby and the surrounding area.
Terry Forsey Chairman of The Travers Foundation said “The Lloyds Bank Community Fund will make a huge difference to The Travers Foundation by enabling us to fund our local coaching and professional support programme.
This programme will make a difference to the lives of hundreds of young people in local sport teams and in the arts. To support your local groups please vote for The Travers Foundation to benefit from the Community Fund award.”
Andy Sawford, MP for Corby and East Northamptonshire said “I fully support the Travers Foundation in its aim to enable ambitious young people to achieve their goals and supporting them by proving access to professional support. The Olympics showed us how important professional coaching support is to the future success of British athletes and organisations like yours can help dreams become a reality”.
The Lloyds Bank Community Fund is helping local people across England and Wales to have a positive impact at the hearts of their communities by giving grants to over 1,300 local good causes in villages, towns and cities across England and Wales. There are four local good causes in each community and each will receive an award.
Two local good causes from each community will receive £3,000 each, with the other two receiving awards of £300 each.
